Floradora Original One-of-a-kind White Persian Folk Art Cat Doll Figurine by Max Bailey

My name is Floradora, and I am a white Persian kitten.

Mama says I look just like the puffy little white clouds you see in the sky on a nice summer day.

This morning Mama told me not to get my dress dirty and not to show my petticoats.

She says it’s not at all ladylike for little girls to show their petticoats. “Floradora”, she says, “If petticoats were meant to be seen, they’d be worn over your dress instead of under it.”

But my petticoat is really pretty. It’s the color of roses, and it has a big ruffle with yellow polka dots. It’s so pretty I have to show it to you. It’s not like I’m showing somebody my bloomers!

My dress is okay too. It’s blue and has pink daisies that go all around the top in a circle, and a ruffle with a yellow border. If there was a contest though, my polka dot petticoat would win. That’s for sure!

Max Bailey sculpted me and my wonderful petticoat from paperclay, and made my cute little whiskers from stiffened cotton thread. I’m completely hand painted with acrylic paints.

I’m a one-of-a-kind work of art, and am made for display only. Max never uses molds in his work, so there’s never going to be anybody else like me.

I’m signed and dated, and sealed with matte varnish for protection and preservation.

I rest firmly on a turned wooden base that is stained and sealed in golden oak, and I’m 7 ¼ inches tall.

New Original One-of-a-kind Corgi Folk Art Dog Doll by Max Bailey

This is Cassie, and she’s a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Wednesday is Cassie’s favorite day.
On Wednesdays, Cassie puts on a nice outfit, tucks her little polka dot purse under her arm, and goes to The Doggie Emporium.
There she chats with her friends, has her nails done, and shops for new outfits and delectable treats to last her through the week.
With a sigh of satisfaction, Cassie walks home with her new treasures, and begins to look forward to next Wednesday.
Cassie wears a neatly tailored blue jacket with gold trim. Her skirt has stripes of coral, pale blue, green, antique gold, and the blue of her jacket. Her coral purse has antique gold trim and blue polka dots. Below her skirt you can see the ruffles of her ivory petticoats.

Cassie is an original one-of-a-kind work of art, and is meant for display only. No molds are ever used in my work. She and her purse are hand sculpted from paperclay, and entirely hand painted using acrylic paints.
Cassie is signed and dated, and sealed with matte varnish for protection and preservation. She rests firmly on a turned wooden base that is stained and sealed in golden oak.

Cassie stands 6 inches tall.

New Original One-of-a-kind Blue Persian Cat Folk Art Doll by Max Bailey

Hyacinth might be described as an intellectual.

She is currently attending Kitty College to get her master’s degree in human psychology. The book she carries is called “Know Your Human”. It has lots of good tips.

Hyacinth has noticed that life seems very complicated for the human beings around her. They often require her help in solving their problems, and frequently need her counseling.

Hyacinth patiently points out to them that life is really very simple. You eat, you play, you sleep. That’s about it.
In her careful observation of human beings, Hyacinth has noted that there is a direct correlation between their being in a good mood, and giving out kitty treats.

She has determined that it is in her best interest to keep them as cheerful as possible.

Hyacinth is a Blue Persian cat, who sees the world through beautiful and intense yellow eyes. She wears a yellow dress with a pattern of blue flowers. Three blue bows with white polka dots adorn the front of her dress. They match the big bow at the back. Her collar and petticoats are white.
Hyacinth is an original one-of-a-kind work of art, and is meant for display only. No molds are ever used in my work. She and her book are hand sculpted from paperclay, and entirely hand painted using acrylic paints. Her gray whiskers are made from stiffened cotton thread.

Hyacinth is signed and dated, and sealed with matte varnish for protection and preservation. She rests firmly on a turned wooden base that is stained and sealed in golden oak. She stands 9 ¼ inches tall.
