Dharva, miniature tabby fairy cat art doll, handmade original, one-of-a-kind kitten by artist Max Bailey

Dharva is a handmade miniature original, one-of-a-kind cat art doll, hand painted and hand sculpted in paperclay by artist Max Bailey.

Dharva is a tabby fairy kitten with soft golden-green eyes who sits on the beach every evening.

As the sun goes down, Dharva flies over the sand, and collects tiny shells that she especially likes. She puts them in her favorite big shell where she rests, and watches the waves roll onto the shore, then gently return to the ocean.

Dharva knows all of the sea creatures, and they all know her. She waves to her friends the mermaids, and calls to them by name. As she dozes off, Dharva thinks she might like to be a mermaid, and swim in the sea, but decides against it.

She isn’t fond of getting wet, or even of getting sand on her wings, or between her toes.

Dharva’s flowing dress is pale chocolate, with a burnt-orange sash that crosses in the front and continues around the neckline and the waistline.

Her fairy wings are sculpted in paperclay, just like herself.

They are painted in light chocolate, with blue and orange at the tips, and with circles of gold, pale yellow, orange, orchid, and blue.

Dharva is a one-of-a-kind work of art, and is meant for display only. She was sculpted from paperclay in multiple stages, to allow for drying and detailing.

Dharva was painted under a magnifying light, with tiny brushes, one hair at a time. She is signed and sealed with matte varnish for protection and preservation, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Dharva is 1:12 scale. (One inch equals one foot.) She is 1 and 1/2 inches tall. Her shell is 3 inches wide.

Zanda, miniature Siamese fairy cat art doll, handmade original, one-of-a-kind kitten by artist Max Bailey

Zanda is a handmade miniature original, one-of-a-kind cat art doll, hand painted and hand sculpted in paperclay by artist Max Bailey.

Zanda is a Siamese fairy kitten. Unless you are a very early riser, you may never have seen Zanda. She flies through the rose garden at dawn every morning throughout the spring and summer months.

Her tiny wings flutter softly like the wings of a butterfly as she goes from rosebud to rosebud, encouraging each one to open.

Zanda is so pleased when the roses bloom and show their beautiful soft and velvety petals. She breathes in the lovely scent that fills the air and flies away, promising to come back the next morning.

Zanda wears a simple blue dress with cap sleeves and a rounded neckline. It looks just right with her intelligent blue eyes and serious little face. She holds her special red rose close to her body.

Zanda’s wings, like Zanda, are sculpted from paperclay, and are hand-painted in an array of colors against a background of blues, with golden highlights at the tips.

Fern, miniature Himalayan fairy cat art doll, handmade original, one-of-a-kind kitten by artist Max Bailey

Fern is a handmade miniature original, one-of-a-kind cat art doll, hand painted and hand sculpted in paperclay by artist Max Bailey.

Fern is a woodland Himalayan fairy kitten, known to all the creatures who inhabit the woods.

From her seat atop a mushroom, Fern greets the deer, the turtles, the chipmunks, the squirrels, the birds, and the butterflies.

“Good morning, and how are you today?” she asks them. They stop to chat, then go on their way.

Some are more talkative than others, but they all leave behind their wishes for her to have a lovely day.

Fern is very accomplished. She makes all of her own clothes.

She created her dress from green leaves and daisy petals, and the colors set off her lovely wings.

Fern’s wings are sculpted in paperclay, just like herself.They are painted in woodland colors of green, brown, and gold, with accents of red, orange, and very pale green.

Her mushroom was also designed and sculpted in paperclay, and its cap is painted in red-orange. It is also signed.
