A. E. Ruffing is a well-known watercolorist, and has been a professional artist for over forty years. She is a graduate of Cornell University, and studied watercolor under John Pike. Her licensed work has been very popular in collectibles, giftware, greeting cards, needlework kits, puzzles, and prints. Her “Songbirds of the South” series of twelve porcelain collector plates was published by Southern Living Gallery/Oxmoor House, and her “Journey of Dreams” plate series was published by the Danbury Mint. She has also created limited edition prints and note cards for the National Wildlife Federation. Her biography has appeared in Marquis Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in American Art. With her unique and recognizable style, she has explored a wide variety of subject matter in her work.

Just bought a print of yours (809 of 1000) a thrush I believe, in St Mary’s county. Enjoying it very much.
My mother left me 8 of the 12 plates of Songbirds of the sourh. She lived with us for several years and passed in 1999. They have hung on my dining room wall for over 20 years. They are lovely.
