Talia, Original One-of-a-kind Miniature Abyssinian Kitten Art Doll by Max Bailey

Talia is a lovely Abyssinian kitten. Although she is very small, she has a regal air about her.

Talia wears a jade-green tunic with gold trim around the mandarin neckline and sleeves. Her shirt sleeves are striped in burnt orange and pale blue.

Talia comes with an ornate high-backed Victorian chair, which suits her very well. When she sits in her chair, she feels like a queen.

Her chair is 5 and 1/8 inches tall.

Talia is a one-of-a-kind work of art, and is meant for display only.

She was sculpted from paperclay in multiple stages, to allow for drying and detailing.

Talia was painted under a magnifying light, with tiny brushes, one hair at a time.

She is signed and sealed with matte varnish for protection and preservation, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Talia and her chair are 1:12 scale. (One inch equals one foot.)

Talia is 1 and 1/2 inches tall.

Roxanne, Original One-of-a-kind Miniature Himalayan Kitten Art Doll by Max Bailey

Roxanne is a very endearing Himalayan kitten with blue eyes and a sweet disposition.

Roxanne is wearing a soft peach dress with a muted mauve ruffle that goes around the neck and down the front. The ruffle and the sleeves of her dress are edged in gold. Her mauve petticoats show beneath the hem of her dress.

Roxanne comes with a mahogany-stained dollhouse spindle cradle, which she loves dearly. Her mattress, pillow, and coverlet are pale peach with rose and gold flowers, and tiny sprays of green leaves. Before she takes her nap, you can hear her singing lullabies to herself.

Roxanne is a one-of-a-kind work of art, and is meant for display only.

Sarah, Original One-of-a-kind Dollhouse-sized Maine Coon Kitten Art Doll by Max Bailey

Sarah is a very serious-minded tabby Maine Coon kitten.

She sits in her ladder-back rocker with its caned seat, and ponders the way of things. She rocks back and forth until she dozes off.

Sarah is wearing a country blue dress with pale blue polka dots and a dark coral bow at the neckline.

She comes with her dollhouse-size walnut stained rocker, which is 4 and 1/8 inches tall.

I signed us up for Twitter

We’re now on Twitter, under my name, Elizabeth Ruffing @elizaruffing. So far, I look like this slug, and my name is Eliza because someone else already had my full name. I figured out how to Tweet, and have three followers so far, each one a friend 🙂 If you’d like to join me, please do.

I’ve been editing photos and updating our Ruffing’s blog today, along with making and resizing this background photo for our Twitter page. That took me I don’t know how many tries, before I got it to fit.

These are some of the miniature kitten dolls that are coming up on our Ruffing’s blog. I’ve got lots of photos, that we took yesterday, and some from before, to edit, and posts to post. I hope I can get some sewing in.

I entered our Opal the Pixie Kitten, by Max Bailey and myself, in the DOLLS Magazine Discover a Dollmaker Cover Contest. The staff will pick finalists and then open the contest up for voting on their Facebook page. They’ll post them two at a time, each business day in August. Each round only lasts 24 hours.

My mom helped me out by taking a photo of me with one of my bunnies, for Etsy. She took a million photos because I kept laughing. It was so hot out there on the porch. I used this one on my Etsy “About” page, which I set up yesterday. It has a little slideshow of photos and some biographical information. I feel like I’ve been glued to the computer for at least a couple of days! I need to pull myself away and go get an order in the mail.
