Angel or Devil?

Naughty Kitty: “Psst! Listen…I’ve got a plan for world domination!

ER: “Given the current economic crisis, is world domination even feasible right now?”

ER: “Wait, why are you girls even talking to me?

Good Kitty: “Don’t listen to her, Elizabeth…follow your heart, follow the good…

Naughty Kitty: “You’d get to be 50 feet tall and wreak havoc.”

ER: “World domination does sound kind of fun.”

Good Kitty: “No! Elizabeth, no! Spread love and understanding. Think of your family, your friends.

Naughty Kitty: “No, Elizabeth…think of your ex-boyfriends!”

ER: “Hm…

ER: “Yeah, that might be kind of fun.”

Good Kitty: “Elizabeth, please, we need you on our side. Someone’s got to look after the bunny…”

ER: “Oh, you’re right. Beulah Bunny, new this week. World domination will have to wait.”

Beulah is by Max Bailey and is a companion for Beatrice Bunny.

Coming or going?

This is what happens when you sew while watching Chiller TV. I did a nice, neat job of basting these legs on. Too bad they’re going in opposite directions. I suggested a two-faced kitty doll, but I don’t think we’re taking our dolls in that direction. In those directions? Anyway…

There comes a point when you need to put the projects away for the day, before you start doing what a friend of mine calls “negative work”. This wasn’t anywhere near as funny as the time I drew an angel’s knees on backwards. My mom and I were staring at my drawing, trying to work out why it just didn’t look right.

It was this diving angel. Her feet were facing in the opposite direction initially. You know I’m an intelligent person, right? So I can tell you this 🙂 It’s just that sometimes, your brain gets tired and strange things happen!

Dolls and dinner guests

I’ve been sewing and stuffing doll bodies…I have so much sewing to catch up on! It’s been cold, and so I’ve been warming my fingers (and toes) by my space heater. I love that thing. Nice concentrated heat. My fingers are always getting cold. I also had IFC on so I could watch movies while I worked. It’s a pretty good deal. I caught Man of the Century and re-watched Moulin Rouge! this afternoon.

I’m still not sure why I’m sitting in the cheap seats here, while the furry girl gets the more comfortable chair. Even if I grab the chair, she steals it when I get up for a break.

We had a big handsome guest for breakfast this morning. I saw him sleeping out in the frosty leaves last week, with a hurt leg. I brought him some food, and I think he’s catching on to this whole idea. His leg seems to be getting better. It looks like there’s a bite, with some swelling still. I hadn’t seen him for a while, and was worried. He, or she, actually I don’t know, is a substantial kitty. This is a settee, not a chair, he’s resting on here, just for comparison.

My little man took it all in stride. He came out, chirped hello, sniffed noses, and then proceeded to enjoy his sunbath. Okay, he ran under a chair a couple of times, but I didn’t want to say that and embarrass him. All in all, he was a complete gentleman to our guest.

We got some more Kona cottons in the mail. I’m loving these colors. I ordered a color swatch chart too, but it’s backordered. I think I’ve mentioned a couple of times my love of things that come in a rainbow of assorted colors. That just makes me happy. I’ve already prewashed and ironed these. Now I need another box to store my fabric in, and I’ve got to get moving on some doll dresses!
