Yellow Alley Cat Angel Sock Kitten and Fleece Bunnies

Yellow animal print Alley Cat Angel Sock Kitten by Elizabeth RuffingI photographed and posted a new Alley Cat Angel Sock Kitten today. This one is yellow with an animal print, kind of like a leopard, only yellow on yellow, with a red fleece heart. She (or he) has soft stuffed fleece wings, and comes with a hang tag that can be personalized. Ten dollars from the adoption of this sock kitten will go to a local cat rescue, Alley Cats and Angels of NC.

Big slugs and little slugs, Hug Me Slug handmade stuffed animal toys

Fleece Hug Me Slugs, assorted colors, by Elizabeth RuffingI finished four 12-inch Hug Me Slugs and four 9-inch Hug Me Slugs, and got them photographed. I will be posting my new handmade stuffed animal toys in our Ruffing’s shop. These are all made of fuzzy fleece.

Fleece Hug Me Slug, Kelly green with red heart, by Elizabeth RuffingThe soft rainbow blend below is unusual. I got it a long time ago. I don’t have a lot of it, but it is very pretty. I may see if I can purchase more, or something similar, online.

Fleece Hug Me Slug, soft rainbow blend with lavender heart, by Elizabeth RuffingI am going to try to get as many ready-made toys as I can together before the holidays. I am usually swamped with requests for custom toys at that time, and I can never keep up. Most people wait, and ask all at once. So, I am hoping to have more toys that are ready to go. I will likely cut back on the number of custom colors I offer, just so I can keep track of what I have, and offer more of a variety of ready-mades instead.

I’ve tried to imagine the holidays have been here all year round, to keep myself going. I know I am never ready when they arrive! I am considering putting up the Christmas lights now, for inspiration 🙂 I’ve even made a couple of ornaments, but forgot to photograph them today, with the Hug Me Slugs, and the art dolls.

Blue Polka-dotted Alley Cat Angel Sock Kitten

Blue polka-dotted Alley Cat Angel Sock Kitten by Elizabeth RuffingI have another Alley Cat Angel sock kitten, a blue one with dark-blue polka-dots, and a bright yellow fleece heart. Once again, ten dollars from the adoption of this sock kitten will go to a local cat rescue, Alley Cats and Angels of NC.

Blue polka-dotted Alley Cat Angel Sock Kitten by Elizabeth RuffingI went to photograph more rescue cats and kittens. This is Miracle, who really is a miracle. The rescue has worked so hard to rejuvenate her, after she was very badly malnourished and her growth had been stunted. You can see what she looked like when she was first rescued, and the transformation is incredible. There are earlier photos of Miracle in this album on Facebook.

Miracle kitten from Alley Cats and Angels Rescue of North Carolina, photo by Elizabeth RuffingMiracle is doing great now, and as of the other day, she is just shy of two pounds, which is a huge improvement for her. Here she is playing with a kitten who is approximately her own age. That’s how tiny she is! Now she has a round belly like all healthy kittens should have, and she is playing with toys too. All major turns for her.
