Otis is a handmade miniature original, one-of-a-kind ginger tabby Persian cat art doll, hand painted and hand sculpted in paperclay by artist Max Bailey.
This is Otis. He’s a ginger tabby Persian kitten who is very young, and still has blue eyes.
Otis loves trains. He has a little wooden train set that he plays with for hours.
Otis dreams of being a conductor on a train just like this one.
He loves the thought of calling, “All aboard,” and thinks about how he will cheerfully greet his passengers and attend to all of their needs.
He’ll check their tickets, and make sure he knows where they’re going.
Otis will call out the name of each station in advance, and signal the engineer when to stop.
He’ll gently tap the passengers who have fallen asleep, and make sure they get off at the right stop with the right baggage.
Then he’ll signal the engineer to start the train again.
Otis wears blue and white striped overalls, and a pale yellow sweater. He comes with his train set, as he’d never go anywhere without it.
Otis is a one-of-a-kind work of art, and is meant for display only. He was sculpted from paperclay in multiple stages, to allow for drying and detailing.
Otis was painted under a magnifying light, with tiny brushes, one hair at a time. He is signed and sealed with matte varnish for protection and preservation, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Otis is 1:12 scale. (One inch equals one foot.) He is 1 and 3/8 inches tall.
