Alice the White Cat and Louisa the Himalayan, Anthropomorphic Kitty Cat Art Prints by Max Bailey

Alice the White Cat, fine art kitty cat in pink dress with a doll print by artist Max BaileyWe are back online after a long disappearance and we have more cats in clothes! Max Bailey has been hard at work on a new line of anthropomorphic kitty cat paintings which we are turning into art prints. They are based on Max’s art doll characters. We have more original one-of-a-kind art dolls to post too. These are the first two prints we have, and they are available in our Ruffing’s Etsy art shop.

The first is Alice the White Cat. Alice’s little doll was especially made just for her by her favorite aunt. Alice calls her “Angela”. In a soft voice, Alice tells Angela all her secrets, and shares with her all her kitty dreams. Alice is very sweet and always cheerful, and she thinks her life is really quite nice. She’s glad to have Angela to share it with.

Louisa walks to the library at least once a week to get a new book to read. She’s read almost all of the novels in the library, and especially loves the classics. Louisa wants to be an author when she grows up. She feels there are too many stories about people, and not enough about kitties.

They were created from Max’s original acrylic paintings, reproduced using archival-quality pigment-based Epson UltraChrome ink and heavyweight 100% cotton archival-quality, acid-free, 300gsm weight fine art paper with a matte finish. Each one comes in an acid-free clear cello sleeve with an acid-free backing board, and is all ready to put in a standard size frame (frame not included).

The Fairy and The Dove watercolor art by Elizabeth Ruffing

The Fairy and The Dove watercolor art by Elizabeth Ruffing

The Fairy and The Dove by Elizabeth Ruffing“The Fairy and The Dove” is an original watercolor painting. I am making a limited number of reproductions of this image as a signed giclée print as well, on 8 1/2 by 11 inch art paper.

The Fairy and The Dove by Elizabeth RuffingA fairy stands in a field full of iris in shades of purple and yellow, holding a baby dove in her hands. She will soon put him back in his nest. The wind is blowing around her, and the sunlight is showing between the leaves in the trees behind her. I’ve added a border of pink day lilies all pointing inward to enclose the scene.

This is what the 8 1/2 by 11 print might look like framed without a mat. (A mat and frame are not included.)

Fairy Bear teddy bear on pink roses watercolor art by Max Bailey

Fairy Bear teddy bear on pink roses watercolor art by Max Bailey

Fairy Bear by Max BaileyFairy Bears do only good deeds, and are so light they can sit in the middle of big pink roses without squashing them. Mine has a blue wand with a gold star on the end. He can just touch a rosebud with the wand, and it will open into a full bloom. This accomplished, his gossamer wings will carry him off to the next mission.

I gave him a circular border of other garden flowers, already open.

Daisy Chains by Max Bailey

Daisy Chains Bunny Rabbit Print by Max BaileyA simple spool of thread and some field daisies are all it takes to keep these two little girl bunnies occupied and very pleased with themselves. Their grandmother showed them how to line up the stems of the daisies and wind the thread around them, to make crowns, necklaces, bracelets, and even ankle bracelets.

The one sitting on the tree stump, who has done all the work, has a huge sense of pride and accomplishment in her creations. The other knows, even without a mirror, that she has become far more beautiful than she was before.
